Seeking Meaning

We just watched a video in class were Viktor Frankl was talking about how people in life just try and get from point a to point b and they don’t try at all.
 – That’s the link; I encourage you to watch this video. He has a beautiful message that I think everyone should hear. Because people don’t challenge themselves and they just want to make money. This is something that plays into my school a lot; it does because if you don’t do the projects or make goals or expectations for yourself you will have lots of failure in this program.
People come here thinking that this is an easy school and they can just screw around. Some realize that this is a school where we have extra work and projects and that they can’t ditch class and that they really love the advisors. And others are asked to leave the school because they don’t see the importance of advising, evals, project and triads. Seek Meaning in Your Life is probably my favourite goal of the Open School, because it just has so many things under it that will help you in the future.

  1. I think some peoples goal in life is just to hurry up with everything they do. As a kid you want to be a teenager, when you are a teenager you want to be an adult, until you are old and wish everything slowed down. Instead of rushing you want to slow down because you could realize that your time is short, because it is.
